Mono/mint is the name of a collaborative art duo formed by Ivona Pelajic and Fredrik Stjernqvist. Established in early 2021 in Berlin, the duo has been active across Germany and Sweden.
Their practice centers on an ongoing exploration of play and the thresholds between public space and urban ecology. Their work includes developing workshop concepts, building installations with and for children, and creating participatory projects connected to public space.
Emerging through processes of building, wandering, and reimagining, their work reflects on how children, animals, and other urban inhabitants engage with and reshape the city. It is grounded in research and participatory making, with a focus on the fragile architectures of cohabitation that take shape across social and ecological systems.
Through collaborations with children, communities, and more-than-human actors, Mono/mint investigates how spaces of play and imagination can open up alternative ways of living together.
